Privacy Policy

Draft for review · September 13, 2026. This is an incomplete working draft, not an effective privacy notice.

Information used by Steer

Steer helps you pause before opening selected apps and record real-world activities. Its current implementation stores activity names, duration, effort, grass rewards, app-use sessions, preferences, and photos you choose to submit. Account identifiers connect these records to your account.

Cloud services and analytics

When cloud features are configured and you are signed in, Steer uses Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Storage, and Analytics. Activity photos and records can be uploaded to your account. App events, device identifiers, app version, and build information are also recorded to support synchronization and understand app usage.

Device permissions

Steer uses Apple’s Screen Time authorization for app restrictions and camera or photo access when you record an activity. You can manage device permissions in iOS Settings. Removing a permission does not itself delete information already uploaded.

Website

This website is hosted by Vercel and links to Apple’s App Store. The final notice will describe hosting logs and any website analytics or cookies after the production configuration is confirmed.
